THE HEGARTY COLLECTION

Accessibility Statement

Accessibility at HegartyCollection.ie

We want everyone who visits hegartycollection.ie to enjoy exploring the Hegarty Collection. Our goal is to make the site easy to use for all people, including those with disabilities. Our accessibility statement will show how we plan to achieve this.

What We’re Doing

We’re working to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These are international standards that help make websites usable by as many people as possible.
This means things like:

  • Text that’s easy to read and resize

  • Good color contrast

  • Descriptive text for images

  • Pages that work with keyboards and screen readers

Where We’re Still Improving

Some parts of the site aren’t perfect yet. For example:

  • Some older PDFs may not work well with assistive tech

  • Videos may not always have captions or transcripts

We’re working on these and really appreciate your patience.

Need Help or Found a Problem?

If you run into an issue, or if you need information in a different format (like large print, audio, or plain text), please let us know.

  • Email: hegartycollection@gmail.com

If you can, tell us:

  • The page you were on

  • What went wrong

  • How we can help

If we can’t fix the problem together, you can contact the Office of the Ombudsman: www.ombudsman.ie

We’ll keep improving the site and updating this page.
